Thank you so much for visiting sharemyprayer.com! Awhile back I had an idea to create a website that would allow Christian communities, both big and small, to come together in prayer. In the past, congregations would activate a prayer chain through a series of phone calls. Soon that process was upgraded in kind to include spreading the word through email.
But what if your church, your family, your neighborhood, or a group of Christians from around the world had a singular place online where prayers could be requested and subsequently lifted up from the hearts and minds of all connected in a virtual community?
Share My Prayer allows you to create communities based on your own designation. Build a public group of congregants from your church that can check in regularly to see who in their faith family is in need of prayer. Build a private group for your extended family where members must be approved to participate, but once included can then stay current with all of the prayer needs of your family. Or, build a hidden group that allows you to invite only chosen members of your Share My Prayer friends to participate in the prayer request that you would like to make.
Say you’re experiencing some health issues and you are going in for tests. You’re scared, nervous, worried, anxious. You don’t want to share with the whole family that you’re having these tests, but you would like certain friends and family to be aware of your situation and to keep you in their prayers. So, you build a hidden group that allows you to state your situation and then select those individuals based on who you would like to know the information.
